The Blog: I started blogging in August 2007 after God placed in my heart the idea and desire to start a site aimed at encouraging other young women. I maintained my previous blog, Alabaster Box, for almost three years before creating the blog you are reading now. Writing has always been a passion of mine and being able to connect with my readers through blogging has brought many blessings into my life.
The Author: I’m Kaysie. The most important thing about me is that I belong to Jesus Christ. That changes everything, especially what you will read here on this blog. I am 23 years old, still finishing up my degree online and working full-time at a ministry I love. In May of this year I married my best friend and the love of my life, Brian. I love exploring God with him. Besides loving to write, I enjoy the simple things in life such as autumn leaves, long and honest conversations, good books, laughter, wooden swings, a cup of Earl Grey, love songs, taking walks hand-in-hand with my husband, and of course, the beautiful gospel -- the story that birthed my own.
My hope is that somehow God will use the simple musings of this struggling young woman to encourage and inspire a very tired and broken world in need of the redeeming love of my Savior. You are most welcome to come along on this journey.
